Why You Should Clean Your Makeup Brushes ASAP
There are plenty of make up products that require using a brush, and we all know how dirty and ugly they can get. However, their aspect is not the most important thing that we need to have in mind when considering cleaning our brushes.
It has been proved that a dirty makeup brush can lead to skin irritation and even clog pores. That’s because oil, dirt and bacteria find their home in the brush’s hair and then we simply apply them on our skin. People have even reported getting staph infections and pinkeye from bacteria found on their makeup brushes.
So, even though it is one of the least pleasant activities to do, it must be done. There are plenty of ways for you to wash your brushes, so there are no excuses not to do it. You can use soap and simply wash them into the sink, making sure that you rinse them very well until the water gets clear, and let them dry before using them again.
More than that, there are even special silicone pads for this activity, which tremendously speed up the process. There is also a device that spins your brush into a jar with water and soap.
When considering washing your makeup tools, you need to understand that if you don’t, not only will they possibly cause you skin irritations, but also decrease their performance and shorten their life. A brush that is not in its best shape will simply under-perform, giving you an uneven look.
All of these things can simply be avoided by spending 10 minutes washing them. So, if you have anything to add, or fresh ideas, feel free to leave us a comment!
